Fundamental Rights in the Constitution of Bangladesh

“The preamble of the Constitution states that it shall be a fundamental aim of the State to realise a socialist society in which the rule of law, fundamental human rights and freedom, equality and justice will be ensured. For the realisation of this aim, Part III of the Constitution provides for a number of rights as fundamental which the State is prohibited from transgressing.”
